Flavored Tofu Planks PDF Print E-mail

Many people do not use tofu because it is too flavorless and squishy. This is an easy way to prepare and eat tofu, and you can use almost any sauce that you like!

Ingredients:

1 container firm or extra firm tofu

1 container, your favorite sauce (BBQ, Heinze Chili, Teriyaki, etc.)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 300 degrees

Slice tofu in the desired cuts (I slice horizontally to make 1/4" thick planks so I can pop them between two slices of bread like a burger).

Pour a layer of sauce into a baking dish, then lay a single layer of tofu over the sauce, then use the rest of the sauce to cover the tofu.

Bake for approx. 2 hours, checking often to make sure it is not burning or becoming too dry. The longer you cook, the firmer the tofu becomes.

Serve now, or store in airtight container in the fridge for up to a week!
